I can feel the cold illusion of the wind over me. I know it’s a dream with the leaves of our tree frozen in time. Are you really gone? I can still see the beautiful shape of you in the sheets next to me. I feel the lonely coldness and realize I’m awake. It’s not a dream. I can still smell that sweet smell as I pull the pillow closer. I try to mimic the way I’d sleep with you in my arms. The moonlight fades with the passing clouds, your shape in the sheets fade with it and slowly the cold starts to grip at my heart.
